This Privacy Policy explains how Global Dental Science LLC (GDS) collects, uses, shares, and protects information in connection with GDS services that refer to or link to this Privacy Policy. The affiliates to which this Privacy Policy applies include without limitation, Laboratories, and Professional Dental Practitioners. This Privacy Policy applies regardless of the type of device you use to access our Services.

GDS reserves the right to change this Privacy Policy at any time by posting the updated Policy along with the date on which the Policy was changed. If we make material changes to this Privacy Policy that affect the way we collect, use and/or share your personal information, we will notify you by including a “NEWLY UPDATED” label with the “PRIVACY POLICY” link on our Website for 30 days after material changes are made

2. Information we collect and how we collect it
Data from our customers/patients.

GDS does not require sensitive personal information from our customers or patient to provide products and services to you. It is your responsibility to ensure that this information does not end up at GDS. If you nevertheless provide sensitive patient information to GDS, GDS will delete as much as possible.

We collect and maintain personal information about you from various sources to understand and meet your needs, manage our business, and for other purposes disclosed to you. For example, we collect personal information about you from:

  • You, when you voluntarily provide us with information
  • Your transactions with GDS
  • Other third-party sources ( Dental Laboratories and Professional Dental Practitioners)

If the information is to be collected directly from you, you may in some cases have the option to decline to provide that information. However, your choice to not provide information may impact services provided by GDS.

The personal information we collect about you through these various sources may include, but is not limited to:

  • Name, addresses, and telephone numbers
  • Age and gender
  • Email addresses

To the extent that the personal information we collect constitutes sensitive personal information under applicable law, GDS will collect and process this sensitive personal information within limits provided by applicable law, and only after establishing reasonable security safeguards for such sensitive personal information. Where required by law, GDS will seek your consent before processing sensitive personal information.

Automatically collected information

When you use our Services, we may receive technical information such as your browser type, the type of operating system you use, your geolocation, the name of your internet service provider, mobile advertising identifiers, and pages visited on our Services

When you navigate on our website, we can collect information through the usual tools for gathering information such as cookies and web beacons.

3. How your information will be used

GDS Services

We use personal information to complete transactions and fulfill requests for our products and services. For example, we require you to provide personal information to assist in the manufacturing of the medical device requested by your Professional Provider. This information helps GDS to deliver a high-quality product designed to your specifications provided to GDS.

Retention periods

GDS does not store your data for longer than for the purposes for which it was collected. GDS has a storage terms policy, which is based on statutory custody obligations. Your personal data will not be stored longer than the legal obligation to retain unless GDS has justified interest in doing so.

Administrative, marketing, and analytical purposes

In addition to processing, confirming, and fulfilling the products you request, GDS may use personal information for administrative, analytical, marketing purposes, and Quality System Management.  Your personal information will be used in accordance with applicable laws.  The following are examples of areas that your personal information that will assist GDS:

  • Quality System Management: To assure that GDS meets regulatory requirements and legal obligations in the manufacturing of said medical devices.
  • Financials transaction management: To facilitate payment for services or provide refunds
    Legal and Regulatory Obligations: To comply with legal, regulatory, or fiscal obligations, or in connection with litigation or an internal investigation or audit
  • Marketing and Analytics: To perform data analyses and other processing for marketing purposes
  • Site maintenance: To improve the content, functionality, and usability of our sites and to offer opportunities to participate in surveys and provide feedback to us
  • Security management: To secure GDS’s premises, assets, and information
  • Third-party requests: To respond to and comply with outside requests initiated by you, as well as in response to legal requests
  • Audit and controls: To evaluate internal controls and audits for compliance (including those conducted by GDS’s internal and external audit service providers)

(Re) marketing

Cookies put in place by GDS and/or other parties in your browser may be used for remarketing purposes, to analyze your website visit, to show advertisements, and/or so you can make commercial offers.

The programs that GDS uses for (re) marketing are Google services (including AdWords) and

SharpSpring can also be a social media advertising platform, such as Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter.

GDS uses reasonable technical, administrative, and physical measures to protect your personal information. When your personal information is shared, GDS will take a reasonable approach to prevent the unauthorized use of personal information.

Please note that while GDS takes reasonable steps to safeguard and prevent unauthorized access to your private information, GDS cannot be responsible for the acts of those who gain unauthorized access, and GDS makes no warranty, express, implied, or otherwise, that it will prevent unauthorized access to your private information. IN NO EVENT SHALL GDS OR ITS AFFILIATES BE LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGES (WHETHER CONSEQUENTIAL, DIRECT, INCIDENTAL, INDIRECT, PUNITIVE, SPECIAL, OR OTHERWISE) ARISING OUT OF, OR IN ANY WAY CONNECTED WITH, A THIRD PARTY‘S UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS TO YOUR INFORMATION, REGARDLESS OF WHETHER SUCH DAMAGES ARE BASED ON CONTRACT, STRICT LIABILITY, TORT OR OTHER THEORIES OF LIABILITY, AND ALSO REGARDLESS OF WHETHER GDS WAS GIVEN ACTUAL OR CONSTRUCTIVE NOTICE THAT DAMAGES WERE POSSIBLE.

In the event that a data breach does occur GDS will without undue delay and where feasible, not later than 72 hours after becoming aware of the breach, notify the various EU countries/entities of the breach, and the personal information that was exposed.

5. With whom your information will be shared

General

GDS does not share personal information with third parties except as stated in this Privacy Policy. We may disclose information to Laboratory and Health Care Professionals affiliated with GDS and/or unaffiliated third parties (i) to provide the products and services you have requested; and (ii) for administrative, analytical, and marketing purposes.

Where we are required by applicable law, we will seek your consent prior to sharing your personal information with such third parties for marketing purposes.

  • You can ask us to remove you from our files.

File a complaint if you feel your rights are violated

  • You can complain if you feel we have violated your rights by contacting us using the information on the company website.
  • We will not retaliate against you for filing a complaint.

GDS will, in accordance with applicable law, update, grant access to, or delete such information.
