Printed dentures have no long-term studies and have some of the same problems as old-fashioned bonded dentures. Labs print the gums (base) and bond the teeth to the gums. Each bonded tooth is a weak link that can break or pop off. Printed teeth are more porous and susceptible to bacterial growth like old-fashioned dentures and printed teeth do not look anything like natural teeth. In addition, 3D resins for printing dentures are statistically less accurate than a milled denture like RefreshaDent. The reason is that 3D resins are not fully cured when they are removed from the printing tray. The post-curing process is necessary to more fully polymerize (cure) the material. As an item polymerizes, it shrinks slightly. If the printed material was a perfect sphere, the shrinkage would be uniform and predictable. A denture base is not a sphere and thus unpredictable distortion occurs during the post-curing polymerization. A milled denture has no shrinkage because the puck has been cured in advance of the milling and thus a more accurate fit.
RefreshaDent is a monolithic denture, which means the entire denture - teeth and gums—is milled simultaneously from a single solid piece of non-porous material without the need to bond multiple teeth. A monolithic denture is stronger as there are no fracture points like bonded teeth. RefreshaDent’s teeth are multi-layered to mimic the translucency of natural teeth.
RefreshaDent’s patented design offers a permanent prosthesis when esthetics, strength, and cleanliness are needed for both the teeth and base.
We design your denture digitally using state-of-the-art software with over 60 billion AI data points for the utmost inaccuracy. We have an ISO-certified manufacturing facility and registered by the FDA.
Through our unique controlled polymerization and tempering process, we significantly improve the material properties of your denture by eliminating nearly all the free Monomers that can cause irritation in traditional dentures. The material processing produces an ultra-dense, 100% porosity-free, bio-hygienic denture. This helps to reduce bacterial growth and denture breath. It also eliminates the shrinkage that occurs in traditional dentures, so dentures adjustments become a thing of the past.
We mill your denture from a one-piece monolithic puck using precision instruments backed by computer-aided engineering for optimal fit. Lastly, our patented puck material is up to eight times stronger than traditional dentures and incorporates multi-layer translucent natural-looking teeth, giving you the smile you deserve..
